Medical Homecare Services

Our team of qualified nurses and our commitment to compassionate in-home care, guarantees that your loved ones are in good hands. It is our primary purpose to help you and your loved ones get quality medical homecare services while having the freedom to heal at home. Whether you are recovering from surgery, needing help with a chronic illness, or have other special care needs, our experienced nursing team is available to help you through it and maintain a sense of comfort and freedom that only in-home care can provide.

Adult and Senior Care

We cater to our adult and senior community to help keep them safe, comfortable and independent in their home. Our nursing team will meet with you to help determine which services are right for you and create a custom in-home care plan to fit your needs. For some, nursing services may only be required for a season, during recovery from surgery or to learn how to manage an ongoing illness; for others, it may be necessary to schedule on-going, daily nursing services, to ensure patient safety and support.

Some of our medical homecare specialties include:
  • Wound care
  • Medication management
  • IV therapy
  • Chronic disease management
  • Diabetes medication and monitoring
  • Tube feedings
  • Medical social work
  • Medical personal safety alerts
  • Short-term nursing services
  • Physical therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Speech language pathology

Our Physical/Occupational Therapy

Our team will collaborate with patients to design a personal treatment plan to ensure optimal outcomes. This offers cost effective treatment that will improve mobility, relieve pain, reduce the need for surgery and/or medications and allows patients to participate in their recovery at home.

Swallowing Program

VitalStim Therapy is a safe and effective, FDA-approved treatment for patients with swallowing disorders. The goals of this program are to strengthen and re-educate the muscles in the throat and improve motor control of the swallowing mechanism. Research shows this method has a greater success in regaining normal swallow as opposed to traditional methods of exercise and diet modification alone. Our Swallowing Program Therapist is certified.

Speech Therapy

Our Speech Therapy team specializes in the evaluation and treatment of adults with aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia and cognitive impairments and dysphagia.

Chronic Care Management

Homecare services can help people with long-term chronic care needs remain in their own home and continue their lifestyle with a sense of independence and freedom. If you, or someone you love, has an ongoing chronic illness contact SummitWest Care to learn about how our in-home nursing team can help.

Newborn and Pediatric Care

SummitWest Care is the only in-home medical provider for newborns and children with special needs. Children who are born prematurely, needs specialized medication, enteral nutrition, IV management and other medical attention can qualify for help from our experienced nursing staff.
