Infection control, Influenza, & Covid-19

Symptoms are usually severe in nature

  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Cough
  • Sore Throat
  • Runny or Stuffy Nose
  • Muscle or Body Aches
  • Headache
  • Fatigue

Symptoms can range from mild to severe illness and appears 2-14 days after you are exposed to the COVID-19 virus.

Seek medical care immediately if someone has emergency warning signs of COVID-19

  • Trouble breathing
  • persistent pain or pressure in chest
  • new confusion
  • inability to wake or stay awake
  • bluish lips or face


How to protect yourself and others:

  • Infection Control and PPE
  • Wear a mask (State Mandate)
  • Social Distance of at least 6 feet from others
  • Screen clients for illness symptoms
  • Get your flu shot
  • Do not come to work if you are feeling ill
  • Frequently wash hands with soap and water. Hand washing is the #1 way to prevent infection
  • Use hand sanitizer
  • Do not share food or personal items with those that feel ill or when you are ill
  • Do not touch your face
  • Avoid touching common surfaces such as doorknobs, drinking fountains
  • Disinfect surfaces with products that are made to kill the flu virus
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment
  • Gloves
  • Masks
  • Remember infection control and PPE should be used in all seasons when dealing with illness or contaminated areas and equipment
